As a kid, Bones Swiss were straight up mythical. Like most groms, I cheaped out at first and got German or NMB or whatever budget bearings the shops had, not realizing that I'd have to buy about five pairs to get through a year. I would love to go back and slap my dumb, young self and just buy Swiss from the jump because they are the best bearings out, last the longest, and you can tell a difference immediately. In 29 years of skateboarding I never had used bones bearings before, it was only like one year and a half ago that I got them as a gift and I haven't changed them since, I have only cleaned them twice in this period of time and they are still running fast as hell, I use the bones oil but I have only used it after I clean them son this means that I have only oiled them twice in one year an a half. Bones are the best for sure. I got another set for my filming board and now I don't have to push that much to be right where the action is.
