I have a VERY old set of Bones Swiss bearings I bought in the mid-90s. i hadn't used 'em since the late 90s and they needed to be cleaned and re-lubricated. Unfortunately, my bearings were so old that when they were made, they were sealed with metal shields that could not be removed without damaging/destroying the shields (no c-clip -- shields were pressed in).

So I called Bones up and asked, "will yer new rubber shields fit these ancient relics i dug up?". They said, "Yep, sure will!".

And they were absolutely right. These new rubber shields fit my ancient Swiss bearings just fine. So if you have some ancient Bones Swiss bearings that could stand being cleaned, lubricated and skated again but have metal shields, just get a couple'a packs of these replacement shields, carefully remove the old metal shields, clean the bearings, drop some Speed Cream in 'em, pop on the replacement shields and rock those good ol' Swiss bearings again!!! Threw mine into an old original set o' Rat Bones 90a's and they're just as fast and smooth as the day i bought 'em. (Posted on 12/30/2017)
